Biodiversity Conservation Fund of Kazakhstan

The concept of the transition of the Republic of Kazakhstan to sustainable development for 2007-2024 The functioning of specialized funds is recognized as one of the main economic instruments for environmental protection for financing projects aimed at the conservation of Kazakhstan's biodiversity and sustainable nature management. The conservation of biological diversity has been identified as one of the priorities for the transition to sustainable development.

hanks to the implementation of projects by the Biodiversity Conservation Fund, in addition to the direct environmental effect, it is expected: the development of ecological tourism, the introduction and development of alternative types of economic activity, the increase of environmental awareness and civil responsibility of the population. The fund was created as a result of a thorough study and analysis of the best international experience in accordance with generally recognized international norms and standards.
